What we are building: a MOLLE ecosystem instead of separate panels
One PALS grid, a panel made for your place, our own lock and holders that fit any of our panels. The idea behind the project, where we are, and how to share an idea or become a tester.
MOLLE Generator started as a tool for one job: quickly get a rigid panel of the right size. Within a few months it grew into a generator, a catalog, ready panels for cases, the MD173 no-drill mount, outlines from a photo and 3D printing large panels in parts. The next step is turning separate panels into a system.
The idea in one sentence
One grid — any place, any holder. The PALS grid is the same on every panel of ours, so any pouch with MOLLE webbing and any holder of ours fits any of our panels — in a case, on a car door, in a garage or a gun room.
What the system will consist of
- A panel for the place. The place sets the size and shape: a case, a safe, a seat, a recess, an outline from a photo. This already works.
- Our own lock. A quick-release fixing for holders in the panel slot — we are making samples and testing pull-out and vibration now.
- Holders. Tourniquet, radio, magazines, hooks come first; then shelves, helmet, plate carrier.
- A modular wall. Several panels join into a 1–2 m wall for a garage or a gun room.
- A kit. Pick a place and a task — get the panel, holders and fixings in one order.
Why this, and not one more product
We are a manufacturer: we make foam inserts, cases and damping systems, and mill and print in-house. Every day we see people needing to mount something in different places — each time in a different size. A single product solves one task; a standard solves the next ones too. The generator and the files stay free; we earn on making things.
Where we are
The generator, the catalog, Pelican case panels, MD173, outlines from a photo and 3D printing already work. Now: Nanuk panels, lock samples and the first holders. Next: the modular wall, a “gun room” section and turn-key kits. The full roadmap is on the About page.
Get involved
The project grows from real tasks. If you need to mount something and haven’t found a solution — share an idea. And if you want to be first to test the lock and holders — sign up as a tester.
