Mounts & Accessories

MOLLE panel mounts and accessories is a guide section on turning a panel into a complete storage system: which clamps and holders suit handled tools, how to secure a fire extinguisher, shovel, axe, fuel can or firearm, and which screws, straps and clips to use when mounting the panel to a wall, vehicle, motorcycle case or hard case. We don't sell accessories, but we do cut adapter plates from 3 mm ABS for standard clamps — they strap to any MOLLE panel and can be ordered ready-made or downloaded as a DXF from the generator. Each article lists proven hardware models, their hole dimensions and placement diagrams for the panel.

Quick Fist Clamps

Quick Fist rubber clamps for handled tools, flashlights, cylinders and firearms are the most common add-on for MOLLE panels. We make 2×2-cell plates for them from 3 mm ABS with holes for the standard Mini, Original and Super sizes: the plate straps to any panel and the clamp screws to the plate with two bolts. That's how a shovel, axe, jack, compressor or rifle gets secured on a garage wall, in the trunk or in a safe and comes off in one motion. The clamps themselves are sold in any auto accessory store; this page has a diameter table for each size and the hole layout. A plate for a different clamp can be made in the generator and downloaded as a DXF.

Fire Extinguisher Mount

Mounting a fire extinguisher in a vehicle on MOLLE: how to secure a 1–2 kg extinguisher on a panel in the trunk, behind the seat or on the door so it doesn't roll around, comes off in one motion and stays visible, as commercial vehicle rules require. We make a 2×8-cell plate from 3 mm ABS with holes for a standard rubber clamp or the extinguisher's own bracket; the plate straps to any MOLLE panel. This page covers which clamps suit 80–110 mm cylinders, where to place the extinguisher relative to other pouches and how not to overload a seatback panel. The same adapter works in a garage, boat, camper or on a motorcycle. A plate for your bracket — in the generator with DXF export.

Shovel & Axe Mount

Mounting a shovel or axe in a vehicle on MOLLE: how to secure a tool with a 25–45 mm handle on a panel in the trunk, on a truck bed side or on a garage wall so it comes off in a second without tools and doesn't rattle off-road. We make a pair of 2×4-cell plates from 3 mm ABS with holes for standard rubber clamps; the plates strap on and move to suit any handle length. This page covers which clamps to choose for a folding entrenching tool, a full-size shovel, an axe or a pry bar, and how to spread the load on the panel. Plates for other clamps — in the generator with DXF export.

Canister Mount

Mounting a fuel can on MOLLE: how to secure a 2–10 L can or a RotopaX on a motorcycle, vehicle, ATV or camper panel. We make a 200×300 mm plate from 3 mm ABS with slots for a 25–38 mm strap: the plate straps to any MOLLE panel, and a buckle strap pulls the can tight so it doesn't shift off-road. Suits plastic fuel and water cans, RotopaX and Fuel Friend. For motorcycles there's a narrow version for flat 1.5–3 L cans on a top case or rack. This page has placement diagrams for enduro, ADV touring and overlanding. A plate for your can — in the generator with DXF export.

Gun Holders

Gun holders on a MOLLE panel: how to secure pistols, shotguns and rifles in a safe, on a gun room wall, in the trunk or in a case. We make plates from 3 mm ABS for standard holders: a 2×3-cell plate for a trigger-guard pistol hook and a pair of plates for rubber clamps on the barrel and stock of long guns. The plates strap to any MOLLE panel, don't scratch the gun and move to fit another model. This page covers which holders suit firearms, air guns and airsoft, with placement diagrams for the safe door and the wall panel. Plates for other holders — in the generator with DXF export.

Hardware

MOLLE panel hardware: which screws, washers, anchors, clips, straps and magnets you need to mount a panel on a wall, in a vehicle, on a motorcycle case or in a hard case, and to hang pouches on it. We explain why 3 mm ABS needs wide washers, which rubber washers keep a case lid sealed, how to choose wall anchors and 25 mm straps for seats, and how a quick-detach panel mount works on the Pelican EZ-Click principle. All holes in our panels are sized for standard M5 and M6 bolts and 25 mm straps; in the generator the hole diameter and position can be set for your hardware, and the DXF can be downloaded for cutting yourself. Hardware is available at any building supply store.
