Parametric PALS layout tool
Any panel size.
Cutting-ready file in one click.
Type the dimensions of the space you are filling. Set the grid, the slots and the edges, then take the DXF to your own laser — or send the job to ours.
What it controls
Grid
Column and row pitch, slots only / alternating / windows only. Sizing in millimetres or by cell count.
Slots and windows
Pill or rounded rectangle with your own length, width and corner radius. Relief windows cut weight without losing rows.
Edges
Comb and tooth edges with direction control, and carry handles with adjustable grip and gap.
Mounting
Perimeter slots or fastening holes on their own pitch and offset from the outline.
Outline
Rounded, 45° bevel, sharp or capsule — per corner if you need it. Or import your own outline from a DXF.
Production
Material thickness, kerf compensation, sheet size limits and a cost estimate before you commit.
Ready designs
Published in the generator — each one opens preloaded.
Two numbers worth checking
The generator opens on a 40 mm horizontal pitch and a 25 mm row pitch — round figures that are easy to work with. The PALS standard is imperial: 38.1 mm (1.5″) and 25.4 mm (1″).
Per slot the difference is tiny, but it accumulates across the panel, so a pouch spanning three columns can bind on a wide panel. If the panel has to accept commercial pouches, set the standard pitch.
Compatible software
The DXF opens in LightBurn, LibreCAD, Inkscape and Fusion 360, and the SVG in anything that reads vectors. Nothing to install, nothing to license.
